Análise Social observes the highest ethical standards regarding authorship, data integrity, ethical conduct of research, disclosure of conflicts of interest, and other relevant aspects of scholarly publishing. All publication decisions are the responsibility of the Editors.
The Editors follow recognized standards and best practices in the field of social sciences and humanities informed by the principles of publication ethics established by COPE (disponível em http://publicationethics.org/).
EDITORIAL EVALUATION
Análise Social uses a double-blind peer-review system for all manuscripts. Since Análise Social is multidisciplinary, each manuscript is read by the responsible/expert editor, who conducts a preliminary evaluation. This evaluation takes into consideration the following criteria:
If considered suitable for publication, the manuscript is sent to at least two external reviewers (referees). Upon a positive opinion from reviewers, the manuscript will be considered for publication. In cases in which one or more referees make acceptance conditional on changes (minimal or significant) to the text, acceptance of the manuscript is dependent on these being made within the time limit stipulated by the editor. Authors of accepted manuscripts will have the opportunity to approve the proofs before final publication.
INDEPENDENCE AND CONFIDENTIALITY IN THE REVIEW PROCESS
Referees should decline to review a manuscript if they have any conflict of interest resulting from professional collaboration, family or intimate relationships with any of the authors of the manuscript. Confidentiality and anonymity are guaranteed throughout the review process.
The Editors must ensure absolute independence and transparency, following the rules and the best ethical practices.
